Up Helly Aa 2027

Up Helly Aa is Viking-themed festivals in Shetland that take place annually which involves a procession of a galley and torches, led by the Guizer Jarl and Jarl Squad. Up Helly Aa is a tradition that originated in the 1880’s.

There are 11 Up Helly Aa’s that take place between January and March every year. Next years dates are:

• Cullivoe 27^th February
