The Owen family, Kelly (Mam), Ryan (Dad) and the three kids, Tiylor, Abbeigh, and the youngest Oliviah (The Mini Boss), we have been married nearly 15 years this Summer and have lived in Burra for 11 years now. We have a fantastic view from our house and it is something that we would love to share with all of you.
We had been speaking of getting a pod for a few years now, I found Lune Valley Pods and Lodges on Facebook a few years ago and started following them.
In Summer last year we just “happened” to be down near them and went along for a visit and we couldn’t say no to one then, got back home to Shetland and started the ball rolling, planning went in and we had it approved beginning of 2026 and soon got our pod ordered, the groundworks have begun and hopefully will have delivery of our pod in a couple of months.
The Vu Pod (pronounced view) got it’s name for two reasons, one is the amazing view we have from our home (and that will soon be from the pod too) and the second is we became Mr & Mrs Owen in 2011 at a wedding venue called The Vu so the name has a lot of meaning to us and we thought it was a perfect fit for the pod.
