The quickest way to reach Shetland is by air. Regular flights to operate to and from Shetland’s main airport at Sumburgh, connecting the islands with destinations across Scotland and beyond.
Loganair operates daily flights between Shetland and major Scottish cities including Aberdeen, Edinburgh and Glasgow, as well as connections to the wider UK. Sumburgh Airport is approximately 30 minutes from The Vu Pod, making it easy to begin your Shetland adventure soon after landing.
For those who may want to go by sea, travelling by ferry offers a unique way to arrive in Shetland.
NorthLink Ferries operates overnight sailings between Aberdeen and Lerwick, with additional calls at Orkney on selected routes. Travelling by ferry allows you to bring your own vehicle and enjoy spectacular views as you sail north towards Shetland.
Lerwick Ferry Terminal is approximately 15 minutes from The Vu Pod, providing a convenient starting point for your stay.
